The objectives of the symposium was to provide a unique opportunity for scholars including senior and junior researchers to discuss path-breaking concepts, ideas, frameworks and theories in plenary key-note sessions and parallel competitive paper sessions.

The formal opening took place on Thursday June 13th by the Director of Research & Policy, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation – Dr. Robert Strom.

More than 90 researchers from the entrepreneurship field but also from economic geography, regional economics, small business economics, urban and regional planning and tourism destination, took part. Except for 11 keynote presentations, 72 papers in 22 parallel paper seminars, were presented and discussed.
