A final virtual summing-up seminar on “22 years of Uddevalla Symposium – summing up and important contributions”(link) will be arranged on November 24th 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 2020 due to that there will be no more Uddevalla Symposia arranged. The background is that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a decision to cancel the 23rd Uddevalla Symposium was forced to be taken and further more a a difficult and unfortunate but necessary decision not to continue to organize this series of great and unique Uddevalla Symposia has been taken. The symposium is designed to bring together leading-edge views of senior academic scholars and mix them with the critical and creative views of post-docs and PhD students engaged in their thesis work.

Following the tradition established by the previous symposia, starting in 1998, we welcome researchers from various fields, such as economic geography, entrepreneurship, international business, management, political science, regional economics, small business economics, sociology and urban and regional planning. Here you can find summaries from the previous symposia

We regularly organize regional seminars at University West to which we invite regional actors to seminars in order to get knowledge on actual research results from recent Uddevalla Symposia. Most of these seminars are given in Swedish.
